[This is an independent roleplay, where original characters attend Hogwarts, without the influence of the series. It is an alternative universe of the magical world, All characters are 7th years at Hogwarts.]

It is the year of 2012, and the events of the Harry Potter series have never happened. There is no Voldemort, though there still are pure-blood elitists. There are no Potter’s or Weasley’s. The Order of Phoenix does not exist, and no war has happened yet. Professor Dumbledore has taken retirement with no stress except trying to keep the rowdy students in line. Now, the new headmistress Victoria McQueen has taken the position at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the students are buzzing with their drama and pent up tension. Problems arise between students, whether they be the usual romance drama, quidditch rivalries, or even dangerous dabblings into the dark arts for some. It’s the Hogwarts students’ last year, and they’re all seeking to make their goals be met, and make it a memorable year in many different ways. The history of the school is the same, and the magic is the same. It’s an alternative universe where you make the history of the magical world J.K. Rowling has created.

This roleplay is an independent roleplay, where you create your own original characters, instead of premade characters. Many forum-based roleplays at sites like InvisionFree or ProBoards have this format, and the admin of this iRoleplay has decided to bring that to Tumblr through the Harry Potter fandom. All the characters in this roleplay are 7th years, and most know of each other. The four houses exists are they are, and the pre-Voldemort history still exists in this universe. This is not Post-War, Golden Trio Age, or Marauder’s Era. This your characters’ era, and the HP world is in your hands to fill with new stories and plots.

At times, the “Headmistress” (aka the admin) will give characters/roleplayers prompts and tasks (ex. detention) to complete. Events will be held, such a masquerade balls, quidditch games, and house competitions. Everyone is vying to win house points granted by the staff of Hogwarts. After all, who doesn’t want to help their own house lift the House Cup? There is also a gossip column that is run by a mysterious writer that seems to lurk around corners. Students are careful with their secrets, but everyone knows that there are always leaks in the rumor mill. This year’s seventh years are already known for their drama and tense relationships both in and across the four houses, but emotions will only explode with the time ticking until the end of their Hogwarts career. How will they survive their seventh year?
